The Roccabella towers are a
twin tower luxury condominium complex located at 1300 Rene
Levesque boulevard West in Downtown Montreal.
The
first of the two towers was completed in 2016 and the
second, at the time of writing, is scheduled to be finished
in the first half of 2018.
The building has one
foundation which makes up the underground parking spaces
which are accessible from both towers. There is a private
driveway in between the towers with temporary parking not
unlike the other twin tower building
1200 Ouest (1200-1210
de Maisonneuve).
Roccabella has some of the cities
best amenities with an indoor pool, large terraces, a large
gym and yoga room, conference rooms, home cinema rooms, a
sauna and a hot tub. It also has a 24/7 doorman service.
The units are spacious and well designed, especially
relative to other recent constructions in the neighbourhood.
Both the one bedroom and two bedroom units have a similar
layout with a long lounge/kichen/diner with adjacent
bedrooms, a walk-in closet leading to the en-suite bathroom
which in the one bedroom unit has a second entrance so that
guests may enter the bathroom without going through the
bedroom.
PROS: Good finishings,
floor to ceiling windows help make the units feel larger
than they are. Excellent amenities, well designed building
and unit.
CONS: Units nearly all
have the same design which will bring prices down as sellers
compete with identical neighbouring units to sell their
condos. Reduced space forces abandonning the popular kitchen
island concept. Location is good but a solid 4 minutes walk
to St Catherines street and 5 minutes to the underground
city. |
